I was born and raised in a small town in rural upstate New York, near Montreal, Canada. In retrospect, it was an idyllic childhood with my parents working the same school schedule I had and living extremely close to my grandparents. Both my parents were English teachers and shared their love of learning with me. Living close proximity to my grandparents allowed me to spend many family weekends, holidays, and summers bonding with them and helping on the family farm. Helping my father and grandparents on our farm instilled an inherent sense of duty and loyalty within me, as well as a desire to serve, and I continued with these values in service as an officer in the United State Air Force. Serving as a military executive assistant opened the service pathway to me. I was also able to travel quite extensively while in the Air Force and open myself to other cultures and ethnicities. Following my tour of duty, I worked as a Personal Assistant for a wonderful woman, her grown children, and pet. This position required a high level of trustworthiness and confidentiality, an ability to be resourceful in finding information and vendors, and extreme attention to detail. I truly enjoyed this role as the Principal and I shared a genuine and mutually caring relationship.
My top three service standards are Administrative, Housekeeping, and Personal Care. My administrative strengths include technical skills, managerial expertise, schedule management, protocol and etiquette, and above all being detail oriented and resourceful. My house, although filled with high end items, has a warm and gracious atmosphere, and is neat and extremely well organized. I have a detailed cleaning style and am able to confidently implement service management systems utilizing a ‘hands-on’ approach. Having an open and articulate line of communication, an ability to be proactive and self directed and a wonderful sense of humor has allowed me to excel at Personal Care, including Child, Pet, Guest, and Elder Care.
I generally set higher standards for myself than others do and work to establish an atmosphere of respect, trust, and a sense of well-being. My service style is I am quick thinking, highly organized and a problem solver. I see myself working in a variety of positions as long as there is a genuine relationship with my employer. |
