I was born in Fort Worth Texas but call the world my home. When I was 6 months old my family moved to San Antonio, then to Waco, followed by Oklahoma, Valencia, Switzerland, San Diego then I struck out on my own to Houston, New York, Connecticut and further. My wondering ways have made me highly adaptable and accommodating, but at the same time it has given me a desire to plant roots, to find the place I belong and remain there for decades to come. My wandering legs are yearning to now grow roots. My mother raised me and my two older brothers in the Catholic Church and my father ensured we were well mannered and respectful to all of those in our lives. My mother was a hard worker, not only did she have the extraordinary task of raising 3 rambunctious boys, she also worked full time to make sure that our needs were always fulfilled. My father was and still is in sales, from him is where I get my ability to connect with whomever I meet. No matter where the person comes from, I can identify a commonality between us and build upon that to form a genuine relationship. My belief is of the Buddha nature, which is in all of us, brings me the joy of giving of myself for the simple reward of giving. This amongst my Taoist studies has helped me identify my service heart. I cannot tell you when I found it, but I can tell you that it has always been there and continues to be cultivated. What truly makes me happy is a friendly interaction with a stranger, making someone’s day by random acts of kindness or just being cordial and living life by the five Confucius virtues: Propriety, Integrity, Righteousness, Wisdom and Benevolence. My decisions are based on these virtues; they guide me to answers that benefit all. My top standard is Administration; my understanding of computers, both Mac & PC and the various programs that help streamline our lives; allow me to keep track of multiple projects while committing my focus to the most important task at hand, or what I like to call the “hot button issue of the moment.” I have certifications in A+ (computer hardware), N+ (networking essentials), MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) and CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator); these not only help me in using Windows products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, but also help me greatly in my second top standard. My second top standard is Maintenance. My natural instinct for technology and my ability to solve logical problems gives me an intuition to identify the root of an issue and how best to solve it, all while keeping my principles best interest, safety and comfort at the forefront of my mind. These experiences have also taught me how to handle multiple requests and connect to vendors to get the best product for my clients. I am well versed in Crestron after coordinating the installation of a 30,000 square foot home, I was also instrumental in the installation and set up of Koleidoscape, Netview, Control Comfort Network, Honeywell security systems and the integration of all these systems with Crestron. I have also replaced furnaces as well as installed basic plumbing and electrical. In my last position I was the Client’s liaison to the development company that was building a 30,000 square foot home in Kings Point, NY. When I arrived the house had been under construction for 6 years, I was able to cut the completion time by 40% and get the family moved in earlier then they had expected. I was also in charge of the completion punch list which was reduced 65% prior to my departure. The house staff was hired and I cross trained my replacement, I still take phone calls from him to help identify areas of concern or answer problematic questions. I am also familiar with and the maintenance of Har-True Clay tennis courts, IP based phone systems, tiling, basic automotive care, both regular chlorine and salt generated chlorine pool systems, SonarGuard pool safety systems, Wireless Technologies, Carrier HVAC systems My third top standard is Housekeeping. From running an upscale Country Inn to working for principles who have heighted senses has taught me keep my ears, eyes, nose and mind open to anything that might affect your environment. This has given me the superior skill set to indentify needs in housekeeping. I was an Innkeeper in a 13 room Luxury Country Inn, on many occasions during peak season I would need to jump in and clean rooms to the highest standards, I was able to clean 13 rooms in 5 hours. I was also responsible for the hiring, training, and if necessary the termination of all aspects of the service areas. Finally, Guest Care really is all about the fine balance of making the guests happy while keeping the best interests of my employer in mind. I look forward to my career in as a Household Manager. That happiness will manifest itself in a positive work environment which leads directly to the happiness of my Principle. The challenges and solutions are immensely rewarding. I see myself in a “California Ease” or “Mid-Western” style home, where there is a respectful, and professional yet casual environment. An exchanging of ideas, a meeting of the minds, a mutual respect that allows us to have frank and honest discussions regarding the issues at hand. To me, these are the things that make me happy.
