Personal Statement:

I was born in Cuba, raised in Montreal and later Toronto Canada. I come from a family of well educated individuals; my Grandfather being a doctor and my Father a Geologist. I was raised with a Catholic background, and have a strong moral compass. Because of this, I have always put the needs of others before my own. What I value most is honesty, integrity and trust.

I knew I had a service heart from a young age. I know this because of the kind of friends I have made and sustained since childhood. Being able to provide a service that is unique in its own way has allowed me to gain a sense of pride that could only be achieved by way of outstanding personal service. This was further solidified as I trained at The International Butler Academy.

I have developed unique technical skills from my education at The Academy which included; entertaining and table service, laundry management and valet, culinary skills and menu planning, administrative record keeping and communication. I practice my skills with energy, passion and commitment. While studying at The Academy I had the privilege to work among other experienced colleagues who in some cases were much older and experienced. This provided me the skills to work well both as a team player and a team leader. I adapted well to different people from unique cultures and varied backgrounds. Even today, I educate myself on ways to improve my personal skills so that I can provide superlative service to those I serve.

My top three Service Standards are Entertainment, Housekeeping and Clothing Care. The technical skills I have developed portray my natural aptitudes. During my internship at the Butler Academy I also had the opportunity to plan, organize and execute various events from casual life celebrations to formal dinners. In my current position as a Butler at The Plaza Hotel, I enjoyed providing assistance with clothing care, chauffeuring, housekeeping and clerical support as needed.

My service vision is to provide outstanding personal service to both meet and go beyond the expected standards of the house. I will continue to educate myself on ways to accomplish daily, weekly and yearly housekeeping tasks. I look forward to serving as a Household Manager/Butler to a distinguished Principal in the very near future.
